Back2Eden Music Academy

Building Talents for the Glory of God

More Than Music

Developing Talent. Building Character. Inspiring Purpose.

The Back2Eden Music Academy was created to provide students with access to serious, systematic music education in an environment that develops the whole person.

Under the direction of accomplished music professor Raúl Castillo, students have the opportunity to develop their musical abilities through structured instruction, practice, ensemble participation, and performance.

But our vision extends beyond learning an instrument.

We believe music education can help cultivate discipline, perseverance, responsibility, cooperation, commitment, and excellence—while encouraging students to use their God-given abilities for the glory of God and the blessing of others.

Music Education For Every Age

Whether you’re introducing a child to music, helping a young person develop their abilities, or pursuing a musical passion as an adult, Eden Academy welcomes students at different stages of life and musical experience.

Children

Build a strong musical foundation while developing concentration, coordination, creativity, discipline, and confidence.

Youth

Develop musicianship through systematic training, individual practice, ensemble experience, and performance.

Adults

Whether you’re a beginner or returning to music after years away, continue developing your skills in a supportive learning environment.

Every Student Starts With an Evaluation

We don’t believe every student should begin in exactly the same place.

Each student begins with a diagnostic musical evaluation designed to help us understand their current abilities and learning needs.

The evaluation considers areas such as:

  • Rhythm and sense of timing
  • Musical ear and listening ability
  • Coordination
  • Musical recognition
  • Previous musical experience
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Motivation and commitment

This helps establish an appropriate starting point for the student’s musical development.

LEARN • WORK • GROW • SERVE

Education for the Whole Person

At Back2Eden, we believe education should prepare people not only to know, but also to do.

For appropriate older students, we envision opportunities to participate in structured, age-appropriate work-study activities at the B2EL Farm.

The purpose is not simply to exchange labor for music lessons. Practical work becomes part of the educational experience—helping students develop responsibility, reliability, cooperation, perseverance, and an appreciation for the dignity of useful work.

A student may learn to cultivate the soil in one part of their education and learn to read music, develop their ear, master an instrument, and perform with others in another.

HAND. MIND. CHARACTER. FAITH.

We believe these areas of education belong together.

Making Music Education Accessible

B2EL Music Academy Scholarship Fund

A family’s financial circumstances should not determine whether a young person has the opportunity to develop their potential.

The Academy is establishing a scholarship fund to help qualifying local Panamanian students participate in the program.

Scholarship support may include:

FULL SCHOLARSHIPS
For students whose families are unable to contribute toward the cost of the program.

PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
For families who can contribute toward the cost but need additional assistance.

WORK-STUDY OPPORTUNITIES
For appropriate older students who participate in supervised educational activities at the B2EL Farm.

Scholarship consideration will take into account factors such as interest, commitment, willingness to learn, financial need, and consistent participation.
